The first professional degree in physical therapy endorsed by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) comprises of 5 years (10 semesters), equivalent 17 years of schooling. The degree program will produce physical therapy professionals who will be Doctors of Physical Therapy and will be competent to diagnose and treat movement dysfunctions due to injuries or diseases by using all physical means including; manual therapy techniques, exercise therapy, electrotheropy and preventative and corrective measures. Physical Therapists with the DPT degree will be practitioners of choice to whom public will have direct access for the diagnosis of, interventions for, and prevention of impairments, activity limitations, participation restrictions, and environmental barriers related to movement, function, and health.

DPT 5 years programme provide a novel learning experience that makes students acquire skills necessary to learn the required material in university but also to become life long learner and problem solver.

The programme is very practical with patients coming to labs to allow students to practice and learn from supervisor and each other.

Eligibility

F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) with minimum 60% marks (adjusted) from any board of intermediate and secondary education or equivalent qualification as prescribed by HEC.

Pharmacy profession is an essential and integral part of the National Health care System of a a country. A pharmacist is the only person who is in a unique position of exercising complete drug expertise and its application.

Keeping in view the growing demand and job opportunities at national and international level of pharmacy technician and the significance of this profession, AIMS has decided to undertake this noble task of offering Pharmacy Technician professional diploma which allow the diploma holders to open a Medical store. In this two year diploma course, students are required to study and have training in the subjects of pharmaceutics, hospital pharmacy, dispensing, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pharnmacognosy, microbiology and biochemistry.

It is also know to us that the education in pharmacy has no meaning without exposure of the students to the working conditions in the field. The practical training is an integral part of pharmacy education. For the purpose of training the students will be regularly visiting/ working at retail pharmacies, hospital and pharmaceutical industries.
